About Dr. Cara Weisbach
Focusing on Breath, Mindset & MovementCara is a physical therapist living in Boulder, CO who values connecting with people in a non-judgmental way to help them to gain awareness into their bodies in order to move and feel better.
A proud mother of two youthful children, Cara has passion for movement, outdoors, the human body and connecting with others. Her physical therapy career started with 10 years in the acute neurological rehabilitation setting with people with Spinal Cord Injury, Stroke and Brain Injury. After taking an ~7 year career hiatus to focus on motherhood and navigate a challenging postpartum journey, she is now reestablishing her purpose outside of motherhood and is dedicated to helping women and men optimize their movement and quality of life in a one-on-one setting.
She has a deep appreciation and interest in how breathing strategies, mindset, and the autonomic nervous system impact movement and performance.
Her background in gymnastics, mountain biking, running, dancing, climbing, CrossFit style workouts, strength training, the Ido Portal method and various other movement forms, as well more than 10 years of experience as a physical therapist has helped her develop an appreciation for all forms of movement, the complexities and wonders of the human body and mind, and how movement plays a critical role in our well being.
Her personal experience with pelvic floor issues, chronic pain, overcoming disordered eating, gastrointestinal issues and a challenging physical and mental/emotional postpartum period give her unique understanding, empathy and compassion for working with her clients.
Using a holistic, broad lens approach Cara brings her dedication and compassion to helping others live a life that is meaningful to them with movement as an integral part of that journey.
